Introduction

Standards are vital to national and world economies. Recognizing the critical importance of industry standards, the Dimensional Metrology Standards Consortium (DMSC, Inc.) has taken an active role in the establishment of needed metrology standards. Through member company representatives and other participation, the DMSC, Inc. participates in many national and international standards efforts. In the U.S., the DMSC is accredited by ANSI as a national standards making organization.
